UEFA Ruling Decides Arsenal's Kit Fate Against PSG

Arsenal have been designated as the "away" team for their historic Champions League final clash against PSG in Budapest on May 30.

The Gunners secured their first final appearance in 20 years after edging past Atlético Madrid with a 2-1 aggregate victory, sealed by a crucial Bukayo Saka winner.

UEFA Ruling Decides Arsenal's Kit Fate Against PSG

Despite the administrative away status, Mikel Arteta’s men are expected to avoid a repeat of the 2006 final, where they were forced into a yellow change strip against Barcelona.

Because PSG’s home kit features a deep midnight blue base, there is no direct clash with Arsenal's traditional red body and white sleeves.

UEFA’s bracket system placed Arsenal in the "blue" path, which allowed them to avoid heavyweights like Real Madrid but resulted in this neutral-site technicality.

Had Bayern Munich progressed, the Gunners would likely have donned their blue zig-zag away kit or burgundy third strip to avoid a clash with the Germans' red.

Design leaks for the 2026/27 season already suggest a "burgundy twist" is coming, but for now, the North Londoners aim to secure their maiden title in their most iconic look.

This Budapest showdown marks a rematch of last season's semi-final, providing a chance for redemption after a 3-1 aggregate defeat to the French giants.
